OUR LITTLE CHAMPIONS!

The Clifton Terrace School Cross Country event was held on Tuesday 22 May.
A great turn out of parents and a whole lot of 'Perseverance' and 'Can do' attitudes were put to the test!
Our 'Dream team' did themselves proud.
Losing a shoe....... did we give up? NO WAY!....... Falling over and getting a grazed knee.... did we give up? NO WAY!  Feeling exhausted, legs hurting..... did we give up?...... NO WAY!

Awesome kids! you all did us proud!

THE MYSTERIOUS WORLD OUT THERE!

Tracey was teaching about day and night. We went to Room 1 and it was all dark like nighttime.
Tracey shone a torch onto a globe so we could see that when Earth was facing the sun, it was daytime. The side of the globe that was facing away from the sun was in 'night time'
This was really fun!

We worked as a team to make a poster about Venus.

We learned that the planets orbit the sun. That means the planets go around the sun.

Each group  found out about different planets.

SPACE DETECTIVES

We have started learning about the planets in our Solar System.
Here we are using the laptops to search sites for information.
Our goals are to...... Be Team Players - working cooperatively as a group within the class setting.
In the next couple of weeks we will be presenting our findings to the class and will have our information displayed in the classroom!
Come on in and take a look! You will be amazed at some of the things we have found out!
We are glad we live on Planet Earth!
