Deb's Dream Team have been having fun learning about the human body. Last week we learned about our skeleton. Do you know why we have bones? what would we be like if we didn't have any?
We had Zach's Mum, Candice come in and talk to us about our bones and how our bones work.
She is a Sports Physiotherapist, she helps people who have injuries and gets their bodies moving properly again.
She brought along her Friend 'Fred'. He showed us what our bones look like on the inside! COOL!
We learned about 'Hinge joints' and 'Ball and Socket joints'. Can you figure out what bony parts these could be?
The knee cap bone is called the 'Patella!'
The Femur bone is your thigh bone and it is the longest bone in our body! WOW!

| Tom made an arm bone |

| Some of our bone creations. Can you work out which bones these could be? |
 |
| Candice showed us skeletal foot models. Look at all the joints we have in our toes! |
 |
| This is a knee joint. The Ligaments help join bones together. They work like a rubber band so we can bend out knee! |
 |
| This is Fred! He is a very bony man! |
 |
Look at Fred's shoulder...... Our shoulder has a ball and socket joint so it can rotate. Our hips, neck and ankles are like this too.
WE ARE VERY GLAD THAT WE HAVE BONES! |
